Fundraising Ideas for Non-Profits

This afternoon I was working with a new client on a t-shirt order they were going to use to raise funds for their non-profit. They mentioned that they were also looking for additional ways to raise money. This got me thinking about one of my favorite promotional items - the magnet. Everyone loves magnets, or at least they use them. What if I took a die-cut magnet such as a circle and left the corners there? The corners could be sold to businesses that want to reach whatever target market the client would be selling their magnets to.

Sponsorship works great for two reasons:

1- The sponsorship corners can pay for the magnets - this makes them FREE to the organization.  They can then sell the magnets, and raise funds for their group without the upfront costs associated with ordering hundreds of magnets.

2- The coupons that businesses can put in the corners can raise the perceived value of the magnets by consumers.
